Puntland Minister of Women Development and Family Affairs Inspects Work on the CARMMA project

Puntland Minister of Women Development and Family Affairs and CARRMA Ambassador H.E Anisa Abdul kader Haji mumin inspected Works on the CARMMA Project (Campaign on Accelerated Reduction of Maternal Mortality in africa).‎

The Minister of Women Development and Family Affairs accompanied by‏ ‎ Puntland Deputy Minister of Health Amino Abdullahi Mohammed, General Director of Garowe hospital, Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Jama and officials from CARMMA Project paid inspection to Garowe Hospital maternity & Jowle maternity waiting home in Garowe city.

Minister aniso Abdul-Qader said that the importance of their visit is to make sure the progress of the project works and how to use it.

Dr. Habibo Ali Ismail, head of the maternity hospital of CARRMA Project talked to Minister of Women on the progress of the program, and she said that many poor women who can not afford treatment benefit from the project even though she said they needed equipment and services for mothers and infants.

Finaly Minister Anisa requested UNFPA organization to urgently respond to the needs of maternity centers, and urged UNFPA to finalize the equipment needed for mothers to complete their service free.
