SOMALIA: Puntland president appoints new governor for Guardafu region

President of the semi-autonomous State of Puntland Dr. Abdiweli Mohamed Ali Gas has appointed Mohamud Ahmed Aynab Known As Gubsul as the new governor of Gardafu region.

Exclusive reports received by Baargaal Media  indicate the appointment takes effect immediately.

Mr. Gubsul was until his appointment a member of the local council of Bareda District . He previously vied for the position of the Mayor of Bareda District.

The new governor will take over the outgoing governor Abdul Qadir mohamed yusuf Idi  , who resigned for personal reasons, according to a conference held in the city of Garowe ,the capital of Puntland in  September , 7 2016
